About
G.P. Wagenfuhr serves as the Theology Coordinator for ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians and has taught biblical languages at Trinity College, Bristol, UK.
Wagenfuhr is also pioneering an equipping community called The Embassy which serves to prepare ambassadors of Christ. This is a groundbreaking project that merges church and seminary into an intentionally local and physically present community focused on the reconciliation of all things.
His first monograph is Plundering Egypt (Cascade, 2016), a book on radically questioning the narrative of economics and metaphysics with the gospel. He has also just published Plundering Eden (Cascade, 2020), which powerfully questions the narrative of civilization in light of ecological devastation. He regularly speaks on Jacques Ellul and has published a number of papers on this and related subjects. He has also published Unfortunate Words of the Bible (Cascade, 2019), a more popular book about deep misunderstandings of the Bible in common Christian culture.
He received his PhD in Theology and Religious Studies from the University of Bristol in 2013, his MDiv from Westminster Theological Seminary in 2009, and his BA in Philosophy and Ancient Languages from Wheaton College in 2005.
